General Information

Every fantasy season starts the same way: the Draft. Whether you participate in a traditional or auction-style draft, the core of your fantasy team comes from your ability to draft effectively. Truly successful fantasy owners know that in order to prevail in the draft, you have to have a well-formulated plan and that the simplest design to implement your draft strategy is a Fantasy Draft Cheat Sheet. After all your pre-draft preparation, your goal walking into the draft room is to have a better cheat sheet than the rest of your league. Now there is no such thing as a perfect Fantasy Draft Cheat Sheet. No one has a crystal ball and there is guesswork involved with every method used to rank players. The quick and easy way to get a cheat sheet is to print out one of the many draft lists available on the internet. The problem with these types of lists is that they are usually a direct reproduction of someone else’s opinion, informed or otherwise. Owners who use these, in essence, trust someone else to draft their team.

Our Fantasy Ranker is a simple, easy-to-use, powerful tool that integrates rankings and player information from dozens of sources and enables you to personalize you draft preparation and dominate your draft by using the best rankings possible: YOUR OWN. I often hear friends say, "I don't have time to do all that work.” That’s understandable, and in some cases, published cheat sheets from web sites and magazines work out fine. However, they have their limitations. Most are current only at the moment they are posted or printed. To be successful, you need to be able to update your cheat sheet to reflect what is currently going on in the sports world. Also, any player ranking list you come across has not been tailored to the scoring system and personality of your league. Fantasy experts and even “customized rankings” based on your scoring system are still not able to consider intangibles, such as keepers and owner tendencies within your league. But the most compelling reason to not use someone else’s list is that creating your own Fantasy Draft Cheat Sheet is fun! It’s not hard to create rankings that represent the knowledge you have of players and their respective teams. Of course, it helps if you follow up the creation of your cheat sheet with a great draft and Fantasy Bowl Championship, but just the process of trying to predict how players will perform can be exciting and enjoyable. At worst, you will be the most informed player at your fantasy draft, which often translates into success.

Okay, so how do you generate your player rankings? Each Fantasy Ranker comes equipped with baseline fantasy information and our research compiled from multiple sources that gives you a starting point from which to create your rankings. With this in hand, you can continuously analyze your cheat sheet and tweak it based on factors such as coaching changes, free agent pickups, the supporting cast of a given player, strength of schedule, and historical stats. The Fantasy Ranker allows you to input your own Position Rankings, Auction Dollar Values, Player Flags, and Tier information and each position tab is fully interactive, allowing to you to sort players in any manner you wish (name, Average Ranking, team name, etc.) with the simple click of a button. After entering information for each player, you can then generate your Fantasy Draft Cheat Sheet, which displays your customized Position Rankings and Player Information all on a single sheet of paper that you can take with you to your draft.

While purchasing the Fantasy Ranker doesn’t guarantee winning, it will provide you a solid foundation for success in your fantasy league. Once you take the time to develop player rankings of your own, you will find that the results are worth the extra effort.  For more information on the Fantasy Ranker, see our F.A.Q. or email us through our Contact Page.
